The Holiday rendition of the Renegade Craft Fair is almost here! And I am poised to rock things out in what has become a yearly tradition of crafting, shopping, and crowd control!
The event will be taking place at the Pulaski Park Fieldhouse, just North of Division on Blackhawk from 11am-6pm both days. I will be there in full force sharing my cozy booth (#56!) with the lovely Caitlin Peters of Wanderlustings.

I’m still basking in the joy of this past weekend’s Renegade Craft Fair. Being among such driven and talented vendors is inspiring and encouraging. It gives one a sense of camaraderie and shows that the craft revolution is still going strong despite the failing economy.
The wares of the crafters were incredible this year. Each way I turned I found yet another unique handmade creation that I could barely contain myself from snatching up. If you live in the St. Louis area be sure to check out some Pierogi Picnic merch at the pop-up boutique The Foundrie in Chesterfield Mall this week! This beautifully curated shop boasts a flurry of talented indie merchandise with an almost Anthropologie type flair. If you do drop in take a picture of some Pierogi Picnic-centric displays and send them our way for a special 40% discount in the Etsy shop.
The one and only great and fantastic DIY Trunk Show is this upcoming weekend – on Saturday, November 20th from 10am to 5pm in Wicker Park’s Pulaski Field House. Pierogi Picnic will be there – in the same spot as last year – hawking our wears. Though I’m always excited about showcasing my work in person – this is the show where I shop till I drop. Everything from Christmas presents, to housewares, to clothes – the DIY Trunk Show is the whamy of craft fairs.
The secret to the Chicago Craft Mafia’s bazaar’s success lies in one of the underlying premises – all vendors must live within a 100 mile radius of the city. So not only are you buying handmade – you’re truly supporting local artisans! So be sure to pencil in this coming Saturday into your calendar as the day you shop till you drop.
