Featured Designs: Freshly Picked

spring

Just like you, I’m aching for the start of spring. Fresh air, blooming flowers, sunny and rainy days, it’s the season of renewal and re-birth after all. When choosing a design to feature that embodies the season I easily gravitated towards this bright yellow tank top.

The “Freshly Picked” design utilizes upcycled t-shirt cotton and reshapes it to create a flirty yet comfy top that’s great for dressing up or down. And with the adorable ruffles along the collar and button details, it’s easy to see why this piece makes me think of April showers and May flowers. Scoop it up on my Etsy page here.

Bicycle Lovin’

Penny Lane, as she’s been dubbed, is my ticket to riding throughout the city this summer. With her curvacious frame, light weight and lemon meringue hue – she’ll be my constant companion to the season’s fairs, fests and lake-side lolly gagging.

Now that I have a new “steed” I’m apt to fancy it up with some accessories to make the ride that much sweeter. Here’s a smattering of some of my favorite handmade and earth friendly finds for jazzing up a bike for the summer! Continue reading

Pierogi Picnic: Color Crazy Fashion

You know that the season’s-a-changing when people starting peeling back layers of black and grey to reveal bright and bold hues underneath!

Pining for pops of color after a long and dreary Chicago winter, it seems my palette is also bursting with pinks, yellow and saturated blues. From neon blouses graced with prints to colorful vintage finds that have been altered for a contemporary fit – there’s a definite theme to the Spring Pierogi Picnic collection!  Take a peek at all of this season’s creations in our color-lovin’ Facebook album.

Here’s to a season of rainbow hues!

My Christmas Wishlist

When shopping this holiday season there’s nothing better than scooping up items that are handmade, vintage or sustainable. Not only does it mean you’re supporting a smaller business, you’re also promoting a greener economy.

With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites off Etsy. Here’s my own whimsical wishlist:
