Nothing screams gentlemanly charm like an elegant bow tie attached to your favorite shirt or jacket – which is why Perfect Gent is my featured design!

These fun clip-on bow ties are handmade using sweatshirt fabric scraps from my other creations – giving them a retro yet contemporary feel that makes them perfect for any occasion. With the classic shape and soft cotton material, it’s a great accessory for work or play, and make a great Valentine’s Day gift for that special someone in your life. Starting on Sunday, January 12th through Saturday, January 18th, we’ll be holding a BOGO Sale in the Pierogi Picnic Etsy shop! Not familiar with the term? It means Buy One Get One Free! That’s right. For every item you purchase you can add a second item to the cart for free!

Have we lost our minds?! How could we be offering such a good deal? Here’s our reasoning: It’s the New Year and we have a lot of old designs that we’d love to send along to permanent homes to make way for the Spring collection. So by participating in the BOGO sale you’re actually doing us a favor!

Sale terms: To qualify all purchases must be made between 1/12-1/18. The second item must be chosen from the designated BOGO category within the Pierogi Picnic Etsy shop and the buyer must complete the transaction as normal. Once we see your purchase come through – we’ll refund you for the BOGO item – and wallah! You’ll be on your way to handmade nirvana.

News: Custom Order Crunch

With the holidays quickly approaching I am drafting up a strategy for custom orders and gift-savvy turn-around times. In an effort to ensure that all made-to-order pieces are received by late December, Pierogi Picnic will be closing down this side of the site come December 1st.

So if there’s a dress or sweater you know will make the perfect gift for that special sustainably-minded someone – be sure to place your order between now and November 30th. After that custom orders won’t be activated again until January 1st.

If you miss the custom order deadline – fear not! We’ll be offering gift certificates all season long!

Designs: The Dodger

Oh boy – do I like a man in dapper duds! Maybe it’s the Dr. Who fan in me – but bow ties, hats, scarves – you name it and I’m there!

Finally acknowledging this lust for gentlemanly accessories I’ve decided to focus this season’s menswear on fun little additives. My hope is to help guys be a bit more posh than the dude next door.

First up in the new collection is what I simply call, “The Dodger“. Inspired by the “No Sweat” men’s sweatshirt that has become one of my all-time best-sellers, “The Dodger” works off a similar design premise: chic, comfortable, and tangle-free. With a fun color-blocked design and subtle military-inspired details, these new cowls are sure to be a hit with no-nonsense guys who want to add a pop to their cold weather wardrobes.

I’m somewhat of a natural cosmetics junkie – always ready to try the latest DIY tonic or small-batch soaps. Whether makeup or bath bombs, as long as they’re natural and cruelty-free, I’m always willing to give them a try. So when I stumbled upon the vegan Etsy-based skincare Herbivore Botanicals, I knew I was sold.

Featured in an Etsy shopping guide for Father’s Day, I scooped up a men’s gift set for my hubby. “It’s an early Father’s Day present!” I told him. “But we don’t have kids” he protested. Four-legged babes count – don’t they?! Besides, I thought it would be more apt for him to try the line as it’s meant for toning the skin of those with facial hair, something I’m thankful I don’t qualify for.
